Someday Ranch  youth programs

At Someday Ranch we enjoy teaching  children and young adults how to do more than just ride a horse. There are different programs to fit every age, needs and physical abilities.

Junior Instructors on this ranch, have been taking lessons for over six years and have been instructing for three years. They teach young children, and children and  adults with special needs on a daily basis while continuing their training weekly.

Junior Aides  are upcoming young trainers in practice. These students help with camps and rodeos, under the schooling of the instructors. This program is great for students who  cannot seem to get enough time with a horse or their friends.

Wranglers have learned how to run our ranch. They know almost everything and everyone, and spend most of their time here taking care of each student and horse, no matter what the need or want is. They handle all of the horses and livestock on the ranch. They are also the first ones used if a animal is sick or injured. They have spent several years dedicating themselves to what Someday Ranch is all about.

The Cowpoke Angels program  is  for students of all ages who would like to spend extra time with horses or are planning on purchasing a horse in the future. Every week a Angel drops by to take a horse out to be groomed, walked and loved. This program instills responsibly and patience for those young riders wanting their own horse.

High School Intern program   This program is designed for youths who are looking to work in the Equine area after graduating from high school or just want to learn all of the ins and outs of running a ranch. Many high schools offer credits for attending this weekly program. Someday Ranch is very involved with youths in this area, opening their eyes to a different way of lifestyle or many ways to gain employment in the future in the equine field.

Private internship   is a program designed to teach you how to handle horses, cattle and a ranch business. This program runs on a weekly basis. By the time you finish, you will be ready to own horses, cattle, other livestock and run your own ranch. This program is great for someone wanting to own their own ranch or a youth that has big dreams and wants to start making them come true. There is a fee for this program, and space is very limited. Please contact Chantel for pricing and information.

Equine Medical Care program is designed to go behind the scenes of a working ranch. Unfortunately horses and livestock get sick or incur injuries. We allow our students to watch over as our ranch veterinarian works on and cares our animals. IF a horse is injured or sick, students are allowed to jump right in and help out. You will learn how to clean wounds, change bandages, give medications and more. When it is time for the Dentist to file their teeth, or the Ferrier to trim everyone's hoofs, not a problem, pull up a chair and take notes. This is a great program for students who are planning on owning a horse in the future. What a better way to prepare and take responsibly before your horse arrives!

Ranch families are clients who have spent many hours walking our horse, helping out with parties or events. These clients become part of our family! They attend rodeos, events and even take trips with us. Ranch families have helped make our ranch what it is today.

Comment from a client

I have no clue where my daughter gets her "Cowgirl walk" and "Attitude" from, but now because of you and what you have taught her, I understand her a little more! I know she will always have a place in her heart for you and your ranch! Meg

Someday Ranch and its family members join together and give back to the community.  Naydeene organized a "Christmas drive" and help put together 43 care boxes to be sent overseas to our soldiers in need. Someday Ranch has held and organized several  "Saddle Up and Ride" trail rides, for St. Judes Children's Hospital. This was the first time this event was held in Brentwood, at Round Valley park. The ranch raised over $4000 dollars for the children, on the very first outing. We also donate yearly to "Grad Night" at Freedom High School and Liberty High School. We collect and donate large bags of toys to  help in the "Christmas Toy Drive" for Knightsen and many other events.  Our Jr. Drill Team put on a performance  for the "East Contra Costa Historical Society", where they were a huge hit! Clients have come together to make and prepare gift boxes for our troops overseas at Christmas. These are just a few ways Someday Ranch has helped  the community.
